Even after signing up for training for a new job (if you were able to get a slot) that training can be cancelled at anytime leaving you in the lurch. When people voiced those concerns they said to be patient and no explanation about what would happen if not everyone received a slot for training into a new project. With the last big transition they were moving 3000+ workers to programs that clearly didn't have that many placements available. Although they state that a project ending does not mean termination from the company it does not mean there will actually be a project for someone to sign up for that still complies with their schedule or job needs. Programs switches happened quickly with little notice and organization. Within the 6 months I've worked for them I've been switched to three different programs and had five supervisors. That is the only positive I can think of for this company. What I liked about working for MCI was that they allowed me to work remote and the schedule was flexible enough for me to work and start school. So the moderators had to turn the chat off, leaving people to constantly interrupt the class as they wanted to ask questions. The zoom room became a target for hackers who wrote obscene comments. They did not keep their word that they didn't want anyone to be unemployed, because that is exactly where they left everyone. I had 3 different supervisors or team leads, and only one would contact me back when I had a problem or question. I had the option to choose an on-call position, but even with that, I had to check the box saying that I resign.

I stayed with them until I received an email saying that if I was already in a class, that was good, and I could stay in the company. However, the other agents and I were all remote workers. Then I was told that they no longer had remote jobs available. I tried to change jobs, and they told me I had to stay with my first choice. They said to just pick an opportunity and if something else opened up later, we could change our minds. The jobs in the company that they had available were either completely filled or the wrong time frame.

We were called to a meeting and told to pick another job or resign. I was transferred to another program within MCI, and they stressed that it was a 2-year contract! This was a good company to work for when I first started.Īfter going through training, it ended up being a 1-month contract.

For the most part, I did not have a problem with payment like so many others did. Along with many other employees, I was hired in January 2021.
